N. Korean head diplomat to visit China
It was verified by both North Korea and China that Choe is visiting from Saturday through Tuesday, accepting an invitation from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
A news agency stated that Choe left "by plane for her personal use to visit the People's Republic of China.”
The report mentioned that ministry officials and Chinese Ambassador Wang Yajun accompanied Choe as well as his accompanying delegation.
2025 will be the 76th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Earlier this month, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un held his sixth meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping since 2018.
At the Beijing meeting, Kim committed to incrementally boost relations with China.
In 2023, North Korea-China trade totaled over $2 billion.
